Course overview
This course will increase your knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health, including children and young people’s mental health in context; mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people; the impact of mental ill-health on children and young people and support available to maintain mental wellbeing in children and young people.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of mental health in children and young people which would support progression onto further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sectors.

Learners should be at least 16 to undertake this qualification.

On successful completion of this course you will achieve the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health qualification.
The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health is a regulated qualification. This means it is a nationally recognised qualification, regulated by Ofqual in England.
This qualification would support progression onto further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sectors.
